1. This was an early Billy Joel band--he had another called Atilha and I don't know if this or the Hassles came first. Pretty neat 60s organ rock that sounds like the Rascals hanging with the Vinilla Fudge. This sounds nothing like his solo work, so don't buy it thinking you are getting Joel archive material/5(2).

4. Best of the Hassles: You've Got Me Hummin' collects nearly the entire recorded output of the Long Island blue-eyed soul group best remembered as Billy Joel's early band. The first album is presented in its entirety, and the second album loses only one track -- oddly, they chose to drop "Hotel St. George," an excellent song which really should.

7. Here's a beautiful copy of the Hassles' second single, with songs featured on their first of two LP's. Both are great uptempo garage rock, with a snarling vocalist and a terrific keyboardist who just happens to become super-famous later in life. Yes, that would be Mr. Billy Joel, who also co-wrote the A side and many other of the group's tracks.
